On March 5, 2011, the medical community lost one of its most esteemed mentors when Dr. Gregorio B. Patacsil, Jr. succumbed to refractory ventricular arrhythmia due to chronic heart failure. True to his title, the ‘guru’ was giving what would be his final lecture when he collapsed and was rushed to a hospital; but not without promising to finish his lecture once he got better.
This issue is dedicated to remembering the legacy of the great doctor, straight from the hearts of the family, colleagues, friends and students whose lives he had touched.
